Styli-Style Flat Lip Pencil
by Vanessa Garcia, nessasarymakeup.com
I am not much of a lip pencil user, simply because I am usually in a rush in the morning and the lip pencils I have get lost in the crowd with the other lip and eye liner pencils in the box. I was curious to try out the Style-Style flat lip pencil because I thought ergonomically- it was pretty interesting. I wanted to see how it compares to that of the normal round shaped pencils, if it was easier to hold or to use.
I had an opportunity to try the Style-Style lip pencil in the color “Hamptons” which is like a natural blush color, and I chose it because I thought it would be a nice subtle liner for my lips; nothing dramatic, but something natural that I can use everyday or with pretty much a wide range of lipstick colors or lip glosses. I really like that it's a jumbo flat pencil, it is a lot easier to hold in your hand which in turn makes it easy to apply and line your lips with such ease and precision. And because of its unique size and shape, it also allows you to create a thin line to line your lips, as well as a thicker line to fill in your lips with color and top off with gloss to complete the look.

Because of the way the pencil is built, it's also a lot thicker and sturdier in comparison to that of the tiny, normal round lip liners and pencils, thus decreasing breakage of the tip of the pencil which I hated with normal lip and eye liners. You end up over-sharpening them each time only to have them break off. Another plus? Because it's a “flat” pencil, it doesn't roll, so you don't have to worry about placing it on a table or sink and having it roll away all over the place! I didn't have that problem using the Style-Style flat lip pencil thanks to its thicker built body.
There is a variety of colors to choose from, red, bright pink, browns, to natural shades; so there is a color to match everyone's skin tone! The only con? You need to buy the separate sharpener specifically made for the Style-Style flat pencils in order to sharpen your pencil effectively. You cannot sharpen these jumbo pencils with a regular sharpener. The sharpener itself is also available on CherryCulture.com for $3.50 while the pencil themselves are available for $7.50 each. |
